Running Costs
You may have heard that hydronic heating is expensive.
It depends on whether you are looking at the short term or long term costs. Generally speaking, the initial outlay for a hydronic heating system will exceed that for a fan forced ducted system. However, the use of natural gas fired boilers coupled with the inbuilt zoning ability of a hydronic heating system will often lead to lower running costs. Further, a hydronic heating system adds value to your home. The ever increasing awareness of the health benefits of hydronic heating systems are inflating the value of those select properties containing such systems. When it comes to the comfort, health and future of your family, economical hydronic heating is the only solution that ticks every box!
Hi Mark - Here is something for your new customers. My latest gas bill wasnt something to sneeze at and was prepared to tell people of the advantages of having a hydronic system. Firstly for the first time in 5 years I didnt get bronchitis and secondly the all important gas bill, last year 2010 the bill was a moronistic 275.28 Mj @ $167.37 but this year it was only 142.68Mj @ $146.27 & reflecting that all utility bills have gone up, based on last year there is a significant Mj loss.Kind Regards Lynne”
