Slab Heating

Discover the ultimate in-slab hydronic heating system! Our system is installed after the structural slab has been poured. This allows us to install our secret weapon – ’Giacommini Insulating Floor Panels’. Once installed the pipework is run and the concrete comes back to pour a 50mm screed on top. The insulation floor panels don’t allow heat to pass down into the structural slab. Now the heat has only one way to go, up! This provides a much quicker warm up time than typical slab heating installations. Additionally, running costs are greatly reduced as you are only heating 75mm of concrete as opposed to 200 or 300mm.

Here is a video showing how the Emetti insulating floor panel is installed. We use another brand – Giacommini, however the video from Emetti is very good and similar to the panels we use. The video is in Italian so to most of us it won’t make much sense, but the video is very informative nonetheless.
